I could have cashed in on an opportunity to sway Ss8 to the dark side all because BM broke his heart.

Ss8 started football this week, our week to have them. First practice got called off due to rain. But BM saw SS on Tuesday when she took him to get a phsical and told him that she couldn't make it that day but would come Wednesday (today) to watch him practice.

So we went shopping earlier and I told Ss that we needed to get BM something for her bday (its in the CO, don't ask). We got something and I told him we would give it to her Sunday. He insisted that we give it to her tonight so I put it in my pocket and we took it with.

Long story short BM didn't show. Ss kept looking for her and when we got home he was very upset. We asked him what was wrong and who he had been looking for, he said nothing was wrong and he had been looking for ss6. I knew it was a lie but we let it go. Later that night he begged to cuddle with me so I sat by him just for a little bit before bed. He was over tired so that was part of it.

She didn't call either to talk to him or explain why she didn't come when she said she would. We'll see if she comes tomorrow.

But I told DH that would have been the prefect opportunity to bad mouth BM and her lack of interest in him and boast my love and commitment to this family. But I am a better person so I didn't.

Way to be a disappointment BM!
