Updates
Well they've all filed their complaints with HR. SD didn't go in yesterday since she would be on shift with no managers and the girl who is bullying her. The fired manager is having a hard time finding a job so SD wants DH to ask his friend who owns a cleaning business if he needs any help. SD told HR that she and the manager are not dating and have never dated but I have to wonder exactly what they are doing. Last time I checked friends of opposite sex did not sleep over nor do they kiss. DD sees alot of similarities between her ex-boyfriend and this not a boyfriend. SD gets mad at him when he doesn't text her back, he will say he's coming over and then when she texts him about his whereabouts he texts back that he's with other friends and not coming over anymore. She gets mad at him. But he's not her boyfriend and they've never dated. HR lady thought they were. I have to wonder if the manager will tell a different story when questioned.
Thanksgiving day was amusing. DD,and DS's went to their dad's for Thanksgiving dinner leaving about 11. SD came up about two telling her dad that her mom was texting her about coming over but she didn't want to go over yet as they had no TV and their internet was down. They couldn't talk that long and what would they talk about. Then she said her mother was starting dinner but taking a nap. But a half hour later she returns upstairs and says she's ready to go over to her mom's. DH takes her and I set about cooking our dinner. Its just about finished when SD calls and says they need foil could he bring some over. What the heck. He takes them some foil and a bottle of wine. When he returns he announces that he's not going back to pick her up, the BM or the SS would have to bring her back.
Update on SS. After complaining once again of heartburn and palpitations BM took him back to the doctor and they diagnosed him with malnourishment or possibly bipolar. Umm hello, I told you for three years a normal teenage boy does not go days without eating but what do I know. Finally insight that eating nothing for two days and then eating a handful of candy then not eating the rest of the day but ordering Olive Garden pasta for dinner at 7 in the evening is not normal. Fast forward three days after possible diagnosis and the day after Thanksgiving SD calls DH to say that the mom had called her that SS was having a meltdown. DH texts BM and learns that SS has run out into the night, it was 10:30 and cold. He doesn't have his phone or shoes on. The police are called and he is picked up and taken to the hospital. DH had to stay with him all night, getting home about 6:30 this morning. When DH returned home he said that SS was scheduled to to be flown to Las Cruces to a treatment center but that BM was going to try and get him released.

treatment
Great plan BM. Deny your child the treatment he needs. Can she legally do that without DH's consent? If not, DH should inform the hospital, and insist it be written in the records, that he does not agree.
Couldn't agree more.

morning light sheds acceptance
Morning brings clarity and he will be admitted to the treatment facility. They are definetly now thinking bipolar and he'll be tested down there and begin treatment. Finally. BM is with him now and he's been sedated. Maybe BM figured it was bigger than she could deal with . So far it sounds like he'll be down there about three days unless he doesn't respond to treatment then he'll be there longer. We'll see.
BM is probably the last
BM is probably the last person who should be with him. Hopefully part of his recovery will include a long impatient stay. Is there another family member with whom he could live? Hopefully not you, but someone ... normal?
