No blended family drama, just needles in the eye round 2
I had a follow up with my Opto wizard today. He advised a second injection in my eye. So we went with that model.
Things were a bit different this time. They dilated my gimpy eye, scanned my retinas, etc... applied numbing drops then he injected the eye with lidocaine instead of doing a lidocaine application with a cotton swab. Then he injected the medication in. I was not expecting 2 needles.
I will return in a month for the LASER procedure if the blood leakage has reduced enough.
After the Doc left the room the Nurse flushed my eye then joked that the Doc had nicked my jugular when he did the injections. So this time instead of half of the whites of that eye being blood red, the whole thing is suffering what my bride calls "Zombie Eye" and I have bloody tears seeping down my Rt cheek. That is a new experience.
Still virtually no discomfort, just a durable case of the willies from the concept of someone stabbing my eye with needles.
I suppose this is all part of the deal I have with the Grand Exalted Master of the Universe. I have the health challenges so my parents, brother and his family, my bride and my kid are all healthy. This was the deal we landed on just after my baby brother passed when I was 8. No one else was allowed to get sick. That would be my job.
Everyone has been doing great and overall even with my defective genes that carry the family's chronic ailments I am doing pretty great as well.
But I can't wait to get this eye thing resolved.
