Disneyland Dad/SM!

You betcha we are! and DAMN proud of it...thats right, we booked a family trip (with SKs as well as our kids) to Dland, for next spring...We have been planning this for a while, lining up all the right cards, when, how, how much and got it done last night...

And you know what...I couldn't be happier about it - and I admit I look forward to yet another reminder to BM that no matter what she does or says or how she tries to convince them to hate us, we are STILL awesome parents to the SK's! SHE will never afford such a trip, and I know damn well will be seeing red - good, I hope she does. All the years of hell she puts us through, I deserve a little payback of a life well lived!

LOVE IT. We plan on taking SD either next year or the year after, money permitting.

One year when DH & I were only dating & not too serious, BM called him up trying to convince him for SD's 4th bday (which was only 2 weeks after Sd's brothers - different dad - 2nd bday) he should pay for transportation, tickets, & hotel for all FOUR of them to go to Disney. He told her, immediately, no way in HELL. She will never be able to afford to take her kids, unless she gets a REAL job.

I know it's mean, but BM is such a BUM living off of SD's CS & the government. It brings me joy to know that we get the benifit of a nice home, & vacations - etc - because WE WORK. extremely hard!

We're taking SDs6&8 to disney world again next July. This time my sister's family and my aunt's family are going with us~14 of us.

BM is going to flip out once again. Life is good. LOL

The term Disney Dad isnt actually about Disneyland. It refers to adults who think parenting a child during their visit means only having fun. Non-custodial parents, and I use that word loosely here, dont have any idea what being a parent is all about.

I hope you aren't truly that kind of parent and that you have a wonderful trip!

Exactly - yes I am WELL AWARE what "disney parent" refers to - it was a literal translation of a pathetic term

Why is mom the only cheap ass? His father didn't take him to disney either. Hell, even now as an adult, his dad is traveling on your dime.

I love introducing disney to newbies. It doesn't matter if you're 5 or 55 there's plenty there for kids of all ages.

I am of the mindset that BM can take her greedy money sucking spawn to Disney on her dime. Oh wait that would be on my hubby's dime, right
