I feel like I'm living in the movie Idiocracy.
SS13 keeps a plastic tray on his bed to set his cups on. He's got a nightstand, but whatever.
We've been having issues with sugar ants this year. I walk past his bed, and he's got an ant trap on his tray, with a ring of dead ants all around it.
Me: Why do you have an ant trap on your tray?
SS: I had some soda and spilled a little bit and all these ants came, so I put the trap there and it's working.
Me: *eyes rolling* Why didn't you just wipe the tray off?
SS: Oh yeah, that's a good idea.
Is it possible to face palm harder than Captain Picard?

"I feel like I'm living in the movie Idiocracy"
I say this at least once a week.
No food or drinks in bedrooms
No food or drinks in bedrooms will cure this. Yuk!
For the moment his bedroom is
For the moment his bedroom is an alcove in our living room, because BM surprised us by turning a summer visit into him living here permanently. Looking for a larger place as we speak, and as soon as he has a room, no food or drinks allowed in it. It's just hard to say that about the living room when we ourselves have drinks it it.
Well not really considering
Well not really considering he's a child and you guys are adults and you guys pay for your home and pest control and he doesn't. A child does not have the right to the same freedoms as adults.
Wow. You can't make this shit
Wow. You can't make this shit up. This sounds EXACTLY like exSS16's logic.
I swear my house was built on
I swear my house was built on an ant hill. Any time I see one inside, I go crazy with the bleach. I think your SS is acting like a boy, fascinated by how the ants respond to the trap, it's like ant crack. Those buggers can't help themselves to the point of drowning themselves in it. I too have been mesmerized watching them but outside of course! I think it's a teenager thought process that doesn't equate no sugar in room equals no ants on my tray. Lol.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll have to try that. I pay for a service that treats outside quarterly (more frequently when needed). Every house on my street has this problem, I think it's the climate.

Awesome. Movies are the best
Awesome. Movies are the best source to get rid from stress. I also used http://letsmewatchthis.net for some enjoyment. Apart from, Every year the number of fans of horror films is growing. And in recent years, watching a horror movie grew by 65%. This trend is due to the fact that the culture to become more humane, and people do not have enough adrenaline. Often, even in the literature can be seen as a more recently, the threat and the belt are the main methods of education. Physical punishment is a symbol of weakness, before the child, and positive motivation, there remains much longer and much stronger effect. In addition, the conditions for the existence of previously been much worse, and people are constantly faced with the danger of predators, fatal and non-fatal diseases. Today it is almost none. The development of medicine has progressed, and we live in houses with central heating and predators which can meet most of a dog or cat. Lack of adrenaline, which is released when the fear we draw from mountaineering trips, horror, ballooning, going to attractions, etc. Some give birth to crocodiles, bears, and tigers. In principle, all this is understandable. People lack the natural adrenaline. And they are starting to get it artificially. Small doses of adrenaline, useful for people. Fear is not harmful if it is not continuous, and not too pronounced.
