My mom drove hours just to celebrate with me. My grandmother was a great planner she went above and beyond with the menu and decorations. I had a really nice time I even had some friends and family members in attendance that I haven't seen in a while. SD14 was actually nice and fun in the beginning helping set up the food and she even got a present. An onesie that says “I love my big sister". She even went out her way to print out a pin the diaper on the baby game and let us use her scarf as a blind fold. After a while she started complaining about everything she didn't like the food, everyone was giving her dirty looks supposedly and it’s too cold. She reportedly bumped my little cousin who is about her same age into the hallway wall shouting at her to move the hell out of the way. My mom took her into my grandmother's spare room and they had a conversation and when she came out it was roses not a peep out of her the rest of the day. She just sat in the corner eating cake and talking to one of my other cousins.

I got a lot of great gifts and ate a lot of great food. Sitting there opening all of those presents got tiring after the 4th pack of diapers but I appreciate them all. My mom gave me my dad's gift a check for a college fund starting at 2000 for my daughter. My mom took a necklace of her neck and put it on mine. My grandmother gave her that necklace at her baby shower. So my mom and I embraced and cried. SD texted DH to come get her early but I didn't find that out until I got home. He told her to stay because she wanted to go so bad and she should celebrate her sister. I wish he would have taken her early but it is what it is. It was very special and I got to spend more time with my mom and grandmother before my mom had to leave yesterday. I really miss my mom and my dad.
