It's amazing how finding my people has enabled me to start thinking a little more clearly. I was reading a post yesterday about a woman who, after five years of being the Uberstepmom, decided to pull back because the BM is a crybaby bitch, basically. I got home, SS9 had a fit about having to leave for the store with all of us; instead of correcting him and getting pissed off at what a pain in the rear he is, (he NEVER wants to do anything other than sit in front of a screen), I took a shower, had a nap, then woke up, laid in my bed and played some Hearthstone on my tablet. DONE. The two younger skids are only with us two or so days a week and I'm not spending those two days, or any of my days anymore really, trying to fix what their incapable mother and dh have broken.
