Hope everyone here on StepTalk has the best Christmas possibly for them! 

So far not bad here. We got up did presents. SO had to leave for work at 8:50am. Skids left for BMs at 10:30, I went SOs brothers 1st ex wife's house for breakfast, just got home and have to clean up and start prepping for dinner tonight. 

It's funny the different types of families that are out there. SOs brother and his  first wife have been divorced for 25 years but has still always been "part of SO's" family to a degree. She even has her kids half siblings (his brother 2nd wife's kids) over her house too. So it can work! 

BM here had nothing specific planned with skids today for time to go over etc. SS17 called her at like 9 asking what time and stuff. Since these kids always talk on speaker I heard the convo considering I was in the same room... It's so strange... she INSTANTLY went into oh so what is "daddy" working and what time will "daddy" be home and stuff. Then she went into she didn't want the kids "driving on the roads right now" because it was icy.. it really wasn't so aka you can't come over yet. 

I texted SO with what I just wrote and he called me and his like she's f'ed up.. he was just about to turn his phone off for work (he can't have his phone on while working) and she was calling so he wanted to answer too see what she wanted... she just said how the roads were icy and she didn't want them driving.. he said I just told her well they need to be home for dinnner then he hung up LOL. 

Let's see if they come home with any stories. 

I am going to enjoy the few ours alone in the house with my doggies and make myself an aperol spritz!
