Not a step question but a pregnancy question

This is my first and we had a bit of a scare at first because I had skipped my period in Dec and so they thought I was further along then what showed on the ultra sound and blood test. Well it seems that I skipped in December for no real reason and ovulated in Jan late so I'm really 8 weeks along.

Now after the big scare the doctors gave me I'm a bit parinoid. I'm wondering is it normal to not have morning sickness yet? I'm not vomitting but feel a little queasy on and off through out the day but nothing other then that and being so very tired. Is this normal?

I go in for my 8 week ultra sound on Thursday but and freaking out about everything - this is going to be a long pregnancy at this rate

Thanks!

being exhausted early one is one sign of pregnancy. and morning sickness doesnt necessarily mean puking all day long...feeling queasy on and off during the day IS morning sickness too. all women experience these and every other symptom differently. so relax! seems like youre normal to me!

ps...are ur breasts sore? this is another early sign.

With my first pregnancy I was very sick, the whole time. But with this one (I am 33 weeks) I have not been sick for even a day.

It will go back and forth.

I was queasy some my nausea was easily remedied by eating something lite. The only times I got sick were if I had a bad cough, or if someone left something gross in the bathroom (won't elaborate so you don't start gagging! But let's just say it didn't take much grossness to set me off.)

So I wouldn't worry since you do feel queasy on and off.

My risk status increased each pregnancy too, so I completely understand. My first I was borderline gestationally diabetic, the second I spotted and had to take progesterone for a few weeks (then found out horrible things about taking that- though was relieved to find out I was taking natural and the risks were with synthetic) then I became fully gestationally diabetic that time as well as was terribly ill afterward with a likely spinal leak (from the epidural.) Then then I took a break for 9 years while I got divorced, had some bad health problems manifest, got re-married. So for my final pregnancy with BD I was injecting heparin into my belly twice a day (for my blood clot history) and had to take med to slow down my hyperthyroid. The latter carried with it a potential to miscarry the whole pregnancy, though the risk decreased greatly after the first trimester like usual, if my thyroid would have crashed later on I would have had to possibly made a terrible choice.

BUT I MADE IT THROUGH and BD is healthy and beautiful!

Hang in there kiddo. You have many months ahead. Try not to worry and soak in the joy of this time if possible!

I never had one day of morning sickness. Actually the whole nine months I was pregnant was the best Ihad ever felt in my life. It even only took me 15 minutes to give birth. I thought pregnancy was awesome. I was waiting tables while I was pregnant and actually worked a split shift the day before I gave birth. I wouldn't worry about not having morning sickness you should be glad. My friend actually barfed morning noon and night for the first three months.

Makes me feel so much better knowing not everyone got sick when pregnant. With all the confusion about how far along I am the doctor's had me paranoid about everything.

Just going to try and enjoy being pregnant!

Thanks again

either. There is an old wives tale that if you are pregnant with a boy you don't have morning sickness if you are pregnant with girls you do. My husbands grandma had 4 girls & was sick as a dog, she had one son & never threw up once.
