No she didn't! I about lost it on BS's 4th Birthday! Ugh!
Tuesday was BS's 4th birthday. He had gifts and a special Camo cake DH decorated. BS patiently waited all day to open his gifts and have his cake until DH got home that evening, around 630ish or so. So, DH finally gets home and and we go into our kitchen to sing Happy Birthday and watch BS open gifts. Everyone is excited to watch him open his gifts because he has the funniest comments.. Of course SD11 is hovering and DH tells her to back up a bit so we can see. The whole time SD11 is being a sourpuss. Shes acting miserable and bitter. Of course she is..It's not her party and it's not about her!
BS4 opens all his gifts and is especially excited to open the packages of Halo toys that DD6 bought for him. I get the scissors out and am helping him put his little guys together and I look up and see that SD11 has opened all four packages of his new Skylander guys!!! BS4 says "Hey! What did you do? I like to open them!" So DH and I tell SD not to ever do that again because BS likes to open his own packages(not unwrap them, just open boxes) I told her that she can ask BS if he would like help, but not to open them without him. She just glares at us. Her mood gets even shittier.
We're in the kitchen cleaning up the paper and boxes and BS asks for his Skyland stickers. Skylanders are toys/accessories used for an Xbox game. Anyway..Each Skylander guy comes with a small sticker to collect, and BS seems to love the stickers more than anything. He collects them. We're looking for the stickers and DH asks the girls -BD6 and SD11 if they have seen the stickers. SD11 says "Yeah, I have em" She says this like they belong to her! DH tells her to give them back to BS. SD11 complies, but with a huffy breath and attitude!!! Later on, DH is putting together a small Lego set, and I'm in the kitchen with BS watching and SD walks over to the kitchen table, picks up a different Lego set and starts to open the box :jawdrop: I look at her and say "SD11..What are you doing? We asked you not to do that anymore." She just looks at me and says "OH" then says BS said she could open it. BS looks up at SD11 and says "Hey! I actually didn't say that SD" (I lol'd at the 'actually')
She glares at me and puts the box back.
UGH! WTF?! I really just wanted to slap her. Who does that?! SD would have a giant melt down if people started touching her gifts and opening the boxes!!

imo, the second warning, should've put her in time out or some form of punishment
i don't get this shit of
i don't get this shit of older kids being jealous of much younger ones. i have never understood it. it's pathetic. she ought to be embarrassed to act like that and it sounds like she needs a good ass beating.
Shoot, at least she listened
Shoot, at least she listened to you. One year, I believe my DS was turning 7or 8 my SK's grabbed my DS's gifts as he opened them and by the end of the day almost everything DS got was broken. Sk's, by the way, are 5 years older than DS so that would have made them about 12 or 13 at the time...
