A Bra?!
Picked SD7 up from BM... And she comes running to the car shouting "look Kifire!! I'm wearing a Boobie-holder!!!" and pulling her shirt down. Um, what? 1) wtf do you need a bra for? 2) wtf are you pulling your shirt down OUTSIDE in PUBLIC for?? and 3) Who the hell thought you were old enough for a bra when you can't even button your own pants? FDH looked suitably horrified when I reminded him that she still required his assistance to get dressed and undressed, so he would be unhooking his daughter's bra for her. He nearly cried.
No, SD does not need a bra. Not only does she not need one, but this also isn't just a little training bra, y'know a sports style bra or one of the little cotton ones made entirely of fabric like I had as a kid (kid being 12) She's wearing a polka-dotted PADDED cup-style bra... like.. I'm serious, a REAL BRA. So now of course it looks like she's got a chest under her shirt. And she's calling it a boobie holder because.... wait for it.. she can't SAY bra correctly. It comes out 'bwah' so I'm guessing BM didn't want her to feel inadequate and has christened it a boobie-holder.

ah, and now seeing her in the house out of the sunlight, her shirt is too light. I can see the bra's design through her shirt. Fantastic.
WOW I love when BMs dress
WOW I love when BMs dress their daughters like tramps. Thankfully DH has a son with BM or he'd have a chubby daughter wearing clothes 3 sizes too small like BM!

I'm getting a bra ad to the side when I open this page. The genie bra.
You mean a boobie holder ad?

So sad. Let her be a child
So sad. Let her be a child while she can for Christs sake!!
Don't let her wear it at your house!! Maybe BM just needs another perspective on what is appropriate. Our BM backed off after we questioned some things, it was a miracle but she did.
It is worth a shot!!
We have undershirts, the bra
We have undershirts, the bra was not our idea.
I hated wearing a bra, I
I hated wearing a bra, I hated my mom talking about it, I hated everything girly like that when I was a kid. We have 4 daughters so I'm forced into this. SD11 needs a bra but won't wear one, SD12 doesn't need one, probably never will, and has been wearing one since she was 10, and BD4 and BD5 worship SD12 so they have been wearing bikini tops under their clothes for a month now. I just don't get it. lol
BM bought SD a bra when she
BM bought SD a bra when she was 7 too. I used to pull the padding out of the bra on purpose.
BM had a boob job just before she divorced DH. He didn't even know about it until her boyfriend brought her home from the hospital. Nice, huh? Anyway, when SD was 8 she saw her aunt getting dressed and said to her I didn't know bra's came in white. My mommy has lots of colors. Later on I said to the aunt, well I guess you gotta have accessories for the new boobs!
