Yep you read that right!

My 2 kids live in a small (and I mean tiny!)House that I own and they both attend college. SD19 is also in college she just started. We had my kids over for dinner last night and they point blank asked her why she had not joined the “home of the free and the kind-of brave”.

She told them she thought she wasn’t welcome due to a) they never said anything before and b) the way she had acted in the past. My son and daughter both shrugged, advised her she had grown a lot as a person, and she was more than welcome.

Logistics were worked out last night. Starting Saturday SD19 moves in with the ‘adult kids’. Utilities will be split three ways (electric and internet: will cost each of them about $50.00 a month combined) and everyone tosses in $100 for groceries, my son does the shopping (kid is thrifty!). Meals are typically fend for yourself. SD swears on weekends she will be making dinners and freezing them so they can ‘not eat like college kids’ and just unfreeze one premade dinner portion at a time… ok so homemade tv dinners LOL.

I do not charge the kids rent (house is paid off, taxes are about $600.00 annually) that’s my contribution to their household expenses. Also ensures they only have to work part time can go to school full time and have enough time to study.

Looks like it is three down… Three to go!
