Dear God..
Dear God,
When I said "what else can go wrong" that was not a challenge!! I promise!!
Friday:
Yeah it was a challenge when BS's car broke down, on a highway, in the pouring raid and AAA took four hours to get there.
Having the tow truck hit the car and cause a dent with the tow bar was a little much there though... maybe the tow truck driver did need to learn a lesson in depth perception, but should it really be at my son's expense?
The flat tire on my car on the way to rescue BS? Over kill hon, over kill.
Yes, it was a bit MORE of a challenge when half way through rescuing BS, SS17 called that they were back early from the football game due to thunderstorms.
Did I really need to sit at every red light down a deserted, barely another car on any street, stretch of road? Got it, that was my lesson on patience. Or hypothermia. My clothes were still soaked from changing the tire and with the ac on ugh, do believe I am part smurf because I saw my fingers turning blue!
Having the aunt and uncle that were supposed to take two of these three skids for the weekend come down sick was bad... but did it have to be AFTER the two kids had been over there for 24 hours and were exposed... and are now pretty much guaranteed to a) get sick b) give it to everyone else in the house.
I understand germs have to live too... but I prefer them not in my house!
The kitchen faucet that exploded while trying to do the dishes (pull handle pulled right off in the skids hand) causing a geyser of water in the kitchen last night... can I put in a request now that the next time this happens it is COLD water, the burn on my hand from trying to stem the flow/ angle it into the sink while DH ran to shut the main water off still smarts.
And the plumbing backing up this morning... into both tubs... that was a wonderful surprise to wake up to.. I suppose that is the lesson in 'what goes around comes back around'.
I want this holiday weekend over.
I want to go back to work where crazy crap just doesn't happen.
WAH WAH WAH
Ok pity party officially over.

Oh, those kind of days suck!
Oh, those kind of days suck! I think tow trucks are evil! A few months ago I was at school 8am-12noon, then working 2pm-11pm, get back to car with a flat - spare was evidently busted (thanks ex for that), called for a tow - took until 6am to get there then could not get car on the truck - I got home at 2pm the next day - just in time to pick up my boy from school! Urrgghhh.
Dear Just.his.wife: Remember,
Dear Just.his.wife:
Remember, He does everything for a reason:
BS's car broke down: There was a drunk driver up the road who would have hit his car and killed him.
The flat tire: A person hydroplaned their SUV and would have hit you... except you were now several miles behind them with a flat tire.
Hitting every red light: Kept you from being in the way of the semi that couldn't stop in time on the wet road.
Years from now, there will be another bug going around, but, thanks to getting sick now with a lesser but similar bug: you will be immune
The kitchen faucet breaking... It was going to break sooner and flood the kitchen, but He made sure you and DH were there to control the situation.
The burn on your hand will cause you to be extra careful with it... preventing an even more damaging event from happening
The plumbing backing up: If you had been able to get up, get out the door on time, you would have been in an accident.
Everything has a reason behind it. I'm glad you and your family are for the most part in one piece
