OMG Its so hard to care for someone so much but there is so much of other things that is pushing me away. Its so stressful.... I love my BF so much but I have never been with no one with kids this is the first and i thought it was going to be so nice. YEAH RIGHT in my dreams!!!!

My BS
says mom atleast fifty thousand times a day. He's 13.
I think that's just a part of parenting.....for all of us. SM's and BM's alike!
Hang in there...your name says it all. It will get better.
Bleh!
SD8 does that now, and it bothers me to no end. She also likes to crawl up in his lap like a baby... she likes to hold her arms up so that dad can pick her up like a baby... sometimes she even TALKS like a baby! wtf? Ugh... sometimes I want to slap SD8 silly.
To Get Attention ~
When I started dating BF almost 4 years ago, SS did the same thing. He would barely bump into something, and he would make it into an international incident. I think he thought, in his mind, that since Daddy had a new girlfriend, that he wouldn't get any attention anymore. So any opportunity to take BF's attention from me, albeit good or bad, he would take it. Now, we don't have that problem anymore since we've been together for a long time. SS was just trying to adjust to a new situation that was completely foreign territory to him. He'd never seen his dad in a relationship with anyone else, and it was hard for him to wrap his head around it.
HAHAHA
My Sd16 still does this! It is sooooo annoying!
I agree with Brooklynne
My sd could not go to sleep when we moved in together unless her dad went to cuddle with her and scratch her back. It got to be ridiculous in my eyes but it wasn't hurting me in any way so I just didn't pay any attention to it. It didn't last long and sd started to become more adjusted in our home. I think that she just wanted to make sure her dad was still there for her.
However, My ss, 9 is one to cry over everything. At first, I was concerned because I would think he was actually hurt, but then I began to realize that half of the time he was just being dramatic. He would get mad if he didn't get his way then the tears and howling would begin and of course dh would run to him like he was mortally wounded.(still does) I have to admit ss is getting better but if he isn't getting his way, watch out!!
The sad thing is that dh always thinks it is the other kids fault, even is it isn't, so ss continues to do this.
Oh, and by the way, Itwillgetbetter, my bd says mom so many times in one day that I am surprised she hasn't lost her voice. She is 12.
