But my DH still has to support this loser kid? Are you kidding me? Anyone in Texas ever dealt with this? One mistake? Yeah, sure...whatever...but now you are on your 2nd baby? Are you crazy? And your dad has to support you...pathetic...Anyone know if we can stop CS in Texas at this point?

Sadly, in Texas, CS continues unless...

The child turns 18 and graduates from high school, or
The child has turned 18, and is not meeting the attendance requirements of a high school or other secondary school leading toward a high school diploma, or
The child marries, dies, or is emancipated by court order, or
The child begins active duty in the US armed forces, or
The child’s parents marry each other and live with the child, or
The court changes this order, or
A court terminates the parent-child relationship between the man ordered to pay child support and the child based on genetic testing results that determine that the man is not the child’s genetic father.

Can you talk the little tramp, oops, I'm sorry, I meant young lady into marrying the baby daddy? It looks like your 9th grader mom of 2 will either have to drop out or get married before your DH is let off the hook on this one.

Has your DH spoken to a family lawyer?

Well, he has to pay CS but he doesn't have to support her or her kids. That's her job. CS is almost never enough to pay for all a kids living expenses. Pay only what is ordered and help as u see fit. Make her support her own kids. If u don't teach her now she will never be an independent mother... No offense but it SD is an idiot. Doesn't she know what a condom is??? Geez. I'm sorry. I pray I never have to deal with that crap. Wowzas..

Forced emancipation! It is not overly difficult to obtain in Texas. SD's quest to populate the entitlment breeder rolls of Texas is more than enough justification to request an order of emancipation from the court.

She is making adult decisions and a court very well may hold her accountable and emancipate her to adult status prior to her 18th birthday.

This is a definite solution, if you can get a dad to do it.

I promise you I would be in an apartment on my own before I'd have any kid living at my house with their own children, not working.

Could be worse. . .could be a state like NY where CS is mandatory till 21 and a lot of times beyond that.

But still talk about reinforcing irresponsibility!!!

Thanks for the thoughts...My DH is pretty disgusted, but he is such a wuss...always "nothing I can do" attitude...sigh...I will talk to him and see if he will check into getting a lawyer involved or getting her emancipated...it is outrageous. I have to put my foot down because honestly, I am sick of it by now.

As far as paying CS for her and not her kids...if I received the amount of CS that idiot receives, honestly, my kid's expenses would be almost zero. In addition, CS is NOT supposed to pay for all expenses, but only 1/2...her mom laid in the bed too... :sick:
