Yes I'm Expecting!
Good news, I'm pregnant 6 weeks. I'm so happy always wanted a 2nd child and my last. I don't plan on telling BM before she does something psycho...I guess SS will notice when I'm showing. I guess he could tell his mother himself. I feel nausea most of the day, if anyone has any suggestions on how to deal w/that let me know, thanks.

Congrats!
Congrats on the good news happy mom! I don't have any suggestions for you since I've never been in that condition but I hope you feel better soon!
Dawn
Congratulations!
Stay hydrated and make sure you snack often. Keep something by your bed so that if you get up in the night or first thing in the morning, you'll have something to nibble on. You don't want an empty stomach right now, it makes the nausea worse. You'll find that certain foods send you running for the toilet while others make you feel better, so just listen to your body and give it what it wants. (Within reason, lol!) Don't ever take your pre-natal vitamin on an empty stomach, always after eating a meal. Sometimes breathing deeply in through your nose and out through your mouth can help make the nausea pass. Try to keep yourself cool, especially as the warmer weather approaches. Rest, rest, rest!
Congratulations! I am so happy for you!

happy dance
Congrats!!!!!!!!!! 8am and here I am doing the happy dance
Please keep us posted on how you are doing. Don't let bm spoil this very special time for you. I made the mistake of having a tubal 6 yrs ago when I had my youngest so it is going to be nearly impossible for h2b and I to have any of our own.
So cherish this time and take care of yourself. Congrats, I am so jealous lol
Congrats!
As far as the nausea, Walgreens sells an accupressure wrist cuff...No pills so no danger to your baby. Tiny sips of Ginger Ale might help too.
Wow! I am so happy for you!
That's a good one! I'd
That's a good one! I'd forgotten, but you reminded me that I would put some light wrist weights in my freezer and put them on my wrists sometimes. I don't know if it was the pressure, the cold or both, but it helped a lot.

Best Wishes!!
to you and DH. Try drinking a little warm water in the morning along with bland crackers or a little bread. Warm Water?? It won't shock your stomach and if you need to :barf: it will be easier on you.
Above all rest!! And stay away from Biohazards
Good luck and the best of health to you!
Congrats!
And welcome to the club! Graham crackers were my favorite to quell the nausea. You should start feeling better in the next 4-6 weeks. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! Did you have morning sickness with your first? I had it
the first time and not so bad the second time. I did however catch the 24-hour stomach flu TWICE during this pregnancy. I wanted to DIE. Vomiting, chills, aches & shakes, 102-degree fever, the whole nine yards. And then AGAIN a month later. Blech!
I'm so happy and excited for you! Take care and keep us posted!
Thanks guys!
Thanks for all the support....I've been eating frequently, drinking lots of water, taking deep breaths just to get over this nausea feeling all day. Some days are manageable some are not. I had this before when I had my first. The 1st time was worst, I stayed home and slept most of the day. This one I can still function, go to work and do other things. I just want this phase over with. I'll keep you all posted. I'm wishing for a boy since my first was a girl. Thanks again, like we say in Hawaii "Mahalo"!

Congrats !!!!!!!!
Forgive me, I don't remember, what bio child do you have now and how old is SS?
Best wishes. Jo
congrat! After 8 pregnancies
congrat! After 8 pregnancies I learned real easy that morning sickness was relieved tremendously by laying curled up on the left side, peppermint candies and cold compresses on the back of the neck. Good luck and God bless you and yours.

Congratulations!
Very excited for you. I never had morning sickness myself, but my grandma told me that in her day, women would drink lemon water, or even eat a slice of lemon...if you can handle that, and that helped with nausea. I have also heard saltine crackers.
Also, take the prenatal vitamins after dinner so that you are sleeping while they are digesting, they can really turn your stomach inside out.
Bests,
Candice
Hooray!
Congrats! I am so happy for you

Cloves!
Such great news...do you think it is a girl? I was so sick with my first (girl) I couldn't even put my hand in dishwater without puking. Then my second (boy) sickness was gone!!! Funny the girl made me sick, arrived and haven't heard a peep (YET) the boy(S) no sickness but man they can be little (beautiful) suckies!! Just a theory, more of a giggle. But for the nausea......get some tea, decaf if you like, and add a few whole cloves when you brew it. Calms the stomach, and saved my life. Luckily I have a good dh, so he takes care of the dishes now!! Best wishes to you and yours, babies are such a blessing!
Clove gum
That's funny, my mom swore by clove gum. I haven't seen it in stores, but you can probably still get it at one of those online stores that sells nostalgic candy.
