My stepson came to visit us and hands my husband a bunch of envelopes. Husband opens them to find that they are medical bills for his son that have gone in to collections. One of the bills is hers, and the bill was addressed to him. She is no longer on his insurance, and the bill was recent. He asked her why he is listed on her patient bill and she says "It must be an oversight." I highly doubt that it was an oversight but her listing him as a responsible party when she goes to the doctor and fills out paperwork.

How do we handle this?!
