I am just coming to say...

I am just blogging on here to say that I hope that everyone has a great weekend! I only get on here when I am at work during the week because it really helps me pass time! I will be updating everyone with everything after next weekend is done and over with. I will still be on here offering advice or just to chat with ya'll. I have enjoyed it so far and really appreciate everyone's thoughts and advice.

What is everyone have planned for this weekend? I am kid free and going to try and work out and do some self care for myself to bring down my stress and anxiety that I have been under lately.

What are your ideas on self care? What do you all do to unwind and just enjoy yourself?

Have a great weekend everyone. Cheers!

Wishing you the same, cmd88!

Hockey and beer planned in honor of my friend. Starting on another set of Memory Bears. Plus, I'll be cooking. DH and SS19 are loving my beer bread and I'm in the mood for pasta or beef stew. And some Supernatural Brownies for the hardworking men.

That all sounds very tasty. I spent the weekend by myself for the most part, watching chick flicks, cleaning, and cooking. I got a little bored here and there, but overall I finally got some much needed rest!

Your weekend sounds like it was a really nice time. I have never heard beer bread! I will have to try making some.

Is skid-free (I hope, we never know because there is always SOMETHING Daddy needs to swoop in and fix)

tonight (Friday night) - clean and clear my space, in my 'Clove room' which used to be SD22 Feral Forgers room, and I cleared and cleaned bags and bags of trash and cast offs and multiple furnishings, installed bookcases and a fish tank and plants. It is needing much love.

Saturday - shopping for healthy veggies and foods to cook and experiment with. Ive been encouraged to try Keto. Im no longer exhibiting the fatigue from illness, so then Im going on a challenging (for me) hike that is about 5 miles with a 1,200 foot ascension in the state park in my area. Its been raining a little and beautiful weather, so Ill go early and probably blind folks by wearing shorts.

Saturday night - cook a delicious and healthy meal, and soak in a salted bath with my rose salts. Maybe sip a cocktail, then watch a movie with DH.

Sunday - perhaps a short walk, and perhaps a longer one, and hope to see my friends sculpture exhibit at the local museum. She does abstracts with metal and stone Biggrin

Sunday Evening - a nutritious meal, maybe some footbal and then preparations for the week.

I plan on taking a screen break as well, we will see!

Did you end up being Skid free? Sounds like you had a very busy weekend! But sounds also like it was enjoyable. Ugh, I miss rain, all we have where I live right now for the next few months is snow, snow, and more snow, and it's been in the negatives, so I really just don't want to be outside! Have you tried Kale smoothies? Super healthy and tasty. I take Orange juice, kale, banana's, and berries and some ice, ,mix it up in a blender and it's super tasty and gives much needed energy. Keto has worked wonders on a friend of mine, I wanted to try it myself, but I just don't have the discipline needed. I love my pasta and bread far too much!

I have SD here and we are having a "snow storm" (aka 3" which the South freaks out about) so my weekend will suck becuase all of us will be stuck here.

Oh yikes! Well hopefully you were able to have a little fun or some relaxation. 3" is a cake walk where I live! haha. We get about 6-12" every week it seems and it's been in the negatives. So over winter!! I want to be outside in my hot tub, or outside building my firepit and garden. Spring can't come soon enough!

And do very little.

I did make easy tomato soup which was delicous.  Tin of good tomato, onion, garlic, tiny bit of scotch bonnet chili, olive oil, salt, sugar.  Blitze and then serve with fresh basil, olive oil and sourdough toast rubbed with garlic.  It was so simple and so good.  I'm sure fresh tomatoes would be better but that's not happening here at this time of year.

That sounds absolutely delicious, especially on a cold day! I love trying new recipes, and it's even better if they turn out super tasty. Last night I made breakfast for dinner (French toast and bacon), the day before that I made homemmade garlic mashed potatoes for the very first time in my life, and they turned out awesome, I also had homemmade sweedish meatballs in the crock pot. Friday we did take out, lol.
