What is about kids and their complete avoidance of soap? Are they trying to commit a new type of suicide? Severus has been told that he needs to do dishes everynight (by DH) because he takes forever to clear the table and Harry shouldn't have to wait for him. So last night when I'm cooking, I needed a spoon to stir the meat. Nothing in the dish washer is clean!!!! Severus didn't use soap. The rule I have is if the dishes don't get clean, you need to hand wash them using a sinkful of hot water and soap. DH came in when Severus is starting this process and because there is so many of them feels sorry for him. He says to put them back in the dishwasher and to put soap in it. That was the last of the soap so after dinner the only option is to hand wash the dishes. I asked DH to supervise Severus and he says he would. I went to bed.

Fast forward to 5am this morning. I am making my coffee and need a spoon to stir in my creamer. I reach in the silverware drawer and the spoon I get is greasy and covered with food. All of them are. Gross!!!!! He didn't use soap in the sink!!! He didn't even try to wipe them off. And he didn't dry any of the dishes. So I have wet dishes in all my drawers and cabinets and the majority of them are covered with grease and food. Yummy!

I can't handle 2 more weeks. I have decided the kid is a congenital idiot.
