Bratty's 2021 Holidays - Chinese Food and Sick Dogs

So Bratty McBratFace has been saying that their relationship with Nutter GF is 'serious but not exclusive' and proudly emailed around pictures to SO's whole family proclaiming they would be living together. In short, she has been acting like they are getting engaged soon. Or are they?

For Thanksgiving Nutter went to visit her family in the Chicago area. Bratty did not go (even though she apparently has met the parents on a video call). Her aunt who she spent last Thanksgiving with was travelling this year, so Bratty spent Thanksgiving with her 2 cousins and they ordered Chinese food. No idea if it was vegan or not LOL.

For Christmas, it seems like Nutter was gone again to visit family. Bratty did not go again. There was a family Zoom call scheduled for Christmas Day, but like the Thanksgiving Zoom Bratty texted SO with a lame excuse for not attending (this time it was the Nutter's dog was sick). On the Zoom call her aunt did say that she was over for brunch on Christmas but her aunt had to work a 12 hour night shift so everyone left after brunch.

I don't think the dog was really sick (or at least not so much that she couldn't have attended the Zoom call). I think it was an excuse because Bratty doesn't like people asking her how she spent the holiday. She doesn't want to admit she really had nowhere to go. And I guess she's either not invited to Nutter's family gatherings or was invited but told she had to pay her own way which would have been a problem since she's not working right now (though she does have a break between semesters so she was free to go). Either way I am getting the feeling that Nutter is not as infatuated with the relationship as Bratty has been portraying.

In any case (as far as I know) there were no complaints to SO demanding to be invited/included in our plans so that is good. She did get him a nice gift (which I blogged about previously).

SO and I had a nice time at the ski resort we travelled to though the weather was pretty tough - blizzard conditions so the lifts couldn't really stay open. But we had a nice cozy condo with a fire going, and we brought plenty of food, booze, books and movies with us. The day we were leaving the authorities closed the highway due to the high winds causing white-out conditions. We were stuck waiting in a line of cars for 3 hours but eventually got on the highway and made our way home last night.

I am still catching up on blogs but I hope everyone enjoyed (or at least survived) Christmas!

And she didn't throw a hissy fit at SO either. Even if her holiday stunk she sucked it up like a grown up - so that's a good sign.

It really was so nice to be warm and cozy inside by the fire and watch the snow come down. Christmas day we watched a bunch of holiday movies. So relaxing.

Lovely Christmas thus far...

Christmas Eve day slothed around in pajamas and watched a new binge series "Brand New Cherry Flavor", and then that evening we had a nice little crab and soup dinner, with Husbands sister, and some cousins. She just bought a sweet property overlooking the Valley. And shes a designer type, where her home looks like a designer showroom or model home...
(no skid or toxic troll drama)

Christmas day we just slothed around in pajamas, ate spiny lobster for breakfast, and went to my parents for prime rib dinner, then back home to pajamas.

Day after Christmas, slothed around, did laundry, and went to Husbands Family reunion at his other sisters house, saw everyone and had a white elephant gift exchange, I got toilet paper and tide detergent. But someone else got something worse, so I dont feel too badly. Then back home for more slothing around.

Oh, and since December 23, Husband has been demolitioning our small old kitchen, so for Christmas I am getting a new kitchen!

Sd22 Feral Forger, who is working at the mall, texted Husband and told him "i love u" and that she has a gift for him. He texted her back "i love you and I have a present for you". which is good he mentioned it because according to sd15 FF was crying that "daddy doesnt love me, he didnt get me any presents".

So, when the dropoff happened last night, SD15 gave her mother the little box for her sister, fom dadio, and nothing from me and nothing from my mother, who always gets her something thoughtful that she left behind when she ghosted us the first time.

No drama from skids!!!!

Your Snowed in Christmas sounds idyllic except for the traffic and no skiing. But thats me buried in blankets looking at the raining outside

Sloth

I love holidays where I can be a sloth and not change out of PJs for most of the day!

I am glad there was no SK drama and of course FF would connect again with Dadio since her prior strong-arming was ineffective. She will really never change! PS - Did she actually have a gift for him or did she just take his? And she is actually working now? That is good, I guess.

Drop offs

She was working from what I can tell - a local mall with macys, I snuck in and saw her at the cash register with a line of about 30 people Christmas Eve eve.

At drop off, she was sleeping or working or whatever, so no gift has materalised, just a pass off of Husbands gift. He made me laugh when he said "ill see what she gives me and then give her a benji if its nice"...

I dont know what was in the little box with her name on it...dont care...

But great observation - her strongarming did nothing and now shes trying to suck up (because Christmas...and in a few months birthday...and maybe even another lobby for entrance into our home...?)

Yes, stay out of their whole messed up 'gift exhange' and leave it to them. And I would definitely bet she will reach out again prior to her birthday!

Sounds like a great holiday, drama free! We are getting pounded with the winter weather right now it's crazy. We had the joy of quarantine during the holiday because BD tested positive for Covid.

Sometimes I kinda wish I can quarantine just because LOL.

The weather has gone a little crazy - we are supposed to get rain most of this week. Glad I am still working from home and don't have to be on the road with the crazy drivers.

Nice that you could have a holiday without SK impacts. The condo sounds absolutely lovely! A fire, booze, movies and books. What more could you ask for!! We had a quiet Christmas, too. DH called his kids on Christmas Eve and that was the only impact we had. And it wasn't even an impact. I headed to bed and he came to bed about 20 minutes later.
