pissed

I've spent a nice long week, a little over a week with just me and SO and now SS8 is back from his track out visit with grandpa and his mom. His mom at least did the courtesy of telling him that she's moving away again and may or may not be back in October.

Now it's back to me splitting the weeks between the place I still have and SO's. I'm pissed. I couldn't sleep last night and full of anxiety and frustration this morning. He has class tonight til late and then tomorrow I'm supposed to stay at my own "place" as well. We are supposed to be doing this so we can work on ourselves and so we don't argue so much. REALLY we are FINE without the child. His behaviors and up till now SO's denial and ridiculous way of angrily being defensive at anything I try to communicate have been the problem. I feel like i'm being punished for their bullshit. It's not my problem I am the most understanding patient, empathic loser on steptalk and I'm tired of it being "our issues" no it's not "our issues" it's his. HIS and his child's alone.

Before this I'd been living with them since July. I hate that he's so stupid to not see that his controlling child has tried to destroy our relationship. NO ONE I mean NO ONE would be ok with what all has gone on with the two of them.

We love each other and are working on things but he is a damn fool to think any other woman would have stuck it out til now or would continue to do so if he doesn't get it under control. The child psychologist has also made it clear to him. I'm getting too old to be wasting my life away b/c of this shit. I told him originally he had til December now i'm making it May first. I'm either living with them full time as I had been before as of the end of May (so giving my notice may 1st) or we are breaking up.

Things have to change and that's only going to come with addressing things while i'm there. I'm not excited about this shitty uphill battle with the child's attention seeking when I come over Wednesday. Last time he peed on himself on purpose to get his bedwetting alarm to go off. The child psychologist basically said everything he's doing whether passive aggressive or aggressive is to try to get things back to they way they were without me, to have dad back to himself with no changes. She told me and SO that we have to nip it in the bud and that i've been too nice to the kid.
I want to flip the fuck out. I'm tired of this shit. I'm anxious as hell and pissed this morning.
They can both get over their shit or i'm gone.

I really think you should set some limits here. You want a relationship with a kind, loving guy who is available to be a partner to you. That is not your SO. Maybe he will *become* that guy, but not for you if you are in the picture right now.

I think if I were you, I'd walk away and start looking for someone that doesn't have to change so much in order to be a good partner, but I can understand that there are a lot of reasons why you aren't ready to do that.

So in the meantime, while waiting for him to step it up or step it out, I think I'd just make other plans whenever the kid is around until you get a report from SO that skid's behaviour will now be found acceptable by you. And if that means you never see SO, or that there is no chance you guys will ever live together, that's on SO.

thanks. I actually texted a guy the other day that still wanted to try and date last year but it was too late as I was already dating SO. It was wrong for me to text him, but that's at the point i am at. That I'm looking elsewhere life is short. Blum 3
