SD emerges from the shadows and DH's stunning victory
I received a phone call from SD18 last week. First time in...4.5 years? We last saw her on Fathers Day. She was looking for her dad. He was ill and in bed (man cold, nothing serious) and she was trying to get me to wake him up. She wouldn't tell me what she wanted. So I told her if it wasn't an emergency that I would have him call her when he woke up.
Thankful Thursday: music edition
Aniki WE MISS YOU. Hope you are well and I'm thankful to count you among my friends. Stay strong, sister!!
In your honor, and to piggy back off Gim's concert blog, I would like to discuss one of my favorite passions some more: music.
We have already had two concerts we had tickets to come and go during the lockdown. We are poised to miss two more. We generally see 4 to 6 shows a year and 2020 was looking like a bumper crop year for shows until COVID crashed the party. First world problems, I know.

Interesting article on custody battles
I read this today and I'm super torn. As a domestic violence advocate, I know firsthand how hard it is for abused women with children to protect themselves and their families. On the other hand, I'm not entirely convinced that women get such a raw deal in family court as this study wants to claim. (Full disclosure, one of the study's directors has been trying to dismantle any notion that parental alienation is real for decades now).

Anyone else read this?

Steve Jobs' adult COD daughter inherited $20 BILLION and blasts the man in her memoir. Sm and Jobs' sister come out and say the SD's book is bullshit. BM chimes in that he was even worse than described.
