My SD6 had to do a project for her class. They had to take a shoe box or something like it and make a float for her class. Today they are having a “float parade” during school. Which I’m attending, yea me! She made her float this past weekend. Both I and her father tried to encourage her to take her time, and really get creative. We bought some fun fuzzy balls, glitter, and brought out some wrapping paper for her creative disposal. She didn’t use it. She wanted it her way. She cut a hole in the top of the box, and stuck a stuffed animal in it, and tied a string on it. That’s it.

My SD6 thinks it’s cute to lay on the floor put her butt in the air while shaking it and wiggling it around while giggling and looking at anyone who will look in her direction. Both her dad and I constantly get on to her for this behavior, but no matter the discipline she continues to do it. We’ve tried spanking, taking away toys and privileges, writing lines, corner, making her leave the room, verbal reprimand, and the list goes on. I think it’s all about seeking attention, but I find it extremely inappropriate, and I just don’t know how to get her to stop it.

So the SK's BM is suppose to pick the kids up tomorrow after school for spring break. She hasn't notified their dad yet of said pick up. The kiddo's keep asking if "Mommy is coming?", but I do not have the answer they want to hear that yes she is coming for sure. So we will see if she's here tomorrow after school circling like a buzzard on our street. It sucks hearing how excited they are, and that they are making plans on what they want to do with "Mommy". I hope I don't have two disappointed kids tomorrow afternoon.

First of all I want to start on a good note! I had a fabulous long weekend with my family. My husband and I are building our first home, and we go by the property every weekend to see the current progress of the house, and that’s always exciting and fun to us. Our kids were generally well behaved, and we got a Costco membership to top it off. So enough said for that happy la te da stuff…on to the sordid stuff that people actually like to read…I started off the morning in a funk. My SS,11 and I normally talk over breakfast and while on our way to school it’s an enjoyable routine.
