Hi everyone! Haven't posted in a while but BM pulled a major WTF last night & I just had to share.

About 3 months ago, BM emailed DH to inform him that she had moved from HER TOWN, about 25 miles away, to OURTOWN (after she had moved - she gave him zero info ahead of time). She had been living with her elderly father since SD6 was a year old. Grandpa BM was SD's primary caretaker. SD also had no idea that they were moving until it happened. So DH was a bit concerned that, without warning, SD was moved from the only home, family, friends & school she had ever known. But he was glad she was closer & she has adjusted quite well. DH also asked BM several times if she was living with her BF & she refused to answer him.

Last night BM made an "urgent" call to DH to let him know that she & her BF were breaking up & she would be moving in 2 weeks. DH just let her know that if she needed extra help with SD that he or MIL would be happy to lend a hand.

I spoke with MIL this morning. She told me that BM called her as well last night to let her know about the situation & give her a head's up that she may be needing extra help with childcare. She hasn't called MIL in over 3 years & actually requested that DH let his mom know that she was no longer welcome to call her (BM) either.

I just find it so odd that after she kept her move into OURTOWN such a huge secret from DH, refusing to tell him about her BF and unilaterally making all the decisions for SD, that NOW she is suddenly just a well of information, gushing to DH & MIL all about her break - up and next move.

DH thinks she fell off the wagon. I think she's putting the moves on DH.
