OT - Mr P has gone to the Rainbow Bridge

He's been struggling to walk the past few days. This afternoon, he couldn't use his back legs at all. Took him to the vet... the cancer is back with a vengeance. I had to let him go. I feel broken into a million pieces.

Aniki, I am so sorry for your loss. If our love alone were enough to save our beloved pets from death, we would never let them go.

Be gentle with yourself and know this - Mr. P knew your heart, maybe better than you know it yourself. He could see into it. He KNEW you did the best for him, and still knows that nothing you did or did not do could change the journey he was on.

Give yourself time to grieve his loss.

I lost my last little one six months ago and each day the sorrows become lighter and the loving memories (of healthy and happy days) become clearer.

I'm sorry isn't even enough. That is so hard. Take your time to grieve for your baby, but know you were an amazing dog mom. All we can hope for is a happy life for our precious dogs and you gave Mr. P that, and more. It's so hard, I know. I'm thinking of you, keep us updated as to how you're holding up, take care. <3
