OT - Mental Health Monday - UPDATE

Thanks for the prayers, good vibes, and PMs. BFF's son has been admitted to an inpatient facility and will hopefully get the help he needs. 

I'm taking the day off to spend with BFF. She is feeling terribly lost and a failure as a mother. She is, hands down, one of the best moms I know. Her son is on meds, but was "feeling pretty okay" and thought he could just stop taking them. For anyone on medication, I beg you to PLEASE NOT stop taking them without medical supervision. 

PM if you need anything. I'll be checking in throughout the day.

I'm sitting here in a hospital, trying to find words for my BFF, whose son tried to hang himself.

I'm sorry I am useless in this kind of situation. I am very glad that your friend has someone like you. Sending all the positive vibes I can muster.

I admit to feeling terribly useless. Hopefully, being strong for her is sufficient. Sad

I'm sorry you're going through this... I think the National Suicide Hotline is the one that covers all of the US... otherwise each state has their own local resources.

I know there are hotlines different things: suicide, abuse... I really should keep these things on file to post when needed.

How sad. Your friend is blessed to have you there. Praying her son gets help he needs

I  am so sorry, Aniki! How horrible for your friend. I hope her son can find a good therapist who will be supportive and help guide him through this. How difficult for you, too. Its so hard to watch our loved ones go through this kind of pain. Take care of yourself.
