did you know? the easter bunny takes requests.

So ss8 says "I hope the Easter bunny brings me (rattles off a list of toys) for here". Dh shockingly says "you'll be at your moms so the Easter bunny will go there". Ss8 says "he can bring me this this and this here and this and this and this there". Dh tells him again that he will be at his mom's..
First of all, as a kid, we got candy and maybe a book or movie. With my boys, when they were young, candy and maybe a game, but usually new shoes and a book.
Never did they make requests. I can't imagine telling my parents what the Easter bunny should bring me.
All the kids will get something small, from us. But no, no expensive toys and big elaborate basket will be sitting here for a week.

Still believes. No other year that we've had him have we taken requests. Usually something small or otherwise needed.

I want BM out of my hair, my business, my life, my town and anything else she interrupts!

Ohhh yes!! I am awaiting the plethura of phone calls this week from the skids! Eh!! Every holiday the Expect us to go all the way crazy getting them oodles of stuff!!! It Always starts a whole week or more (SS11 goes nutso) before each & every Holiday. Im sure they will ask for outrageous items, like new ipods!! No joke!!! Its gotten absolutely rediculous!!!

Of course we will get the skids & DD8 something little for Easter. Most likely some candy & perhaps get them each one of those online kids games for something like Moshi Monsters (albeit the one month card for 9.99) each. Something cute, little & "cool" but I absolutely Refuse to put alot of thought into it for the skids!!!! No matter what we get, its never "good enough"!!! Heck- I made these really cute Valentines bags for them & never once got a mere "Thank You"!!!! So, Im not outting much time & effort into it anymore (been like this for 3 years- I guve up)!!

My DD8 on the other hand Always loves what we get her!! She always gives "thank you's to everyone with hugs & is Always very appreciative!!! Skids? Heck no!! Its always "is this It??" And nothing is ever good enough- even if you spent $100 they wouldnt be happy & they never ever look happy or excited!! They take the fun out of everything. So its generic cards & gifts for the skids now. Im done!

I think its all in how you raise them!!!
