"Not my job" and other updates.
SD7 recently had a father/daughter thing at her school, something kind of along the lines of a "day with dad" at school. DH wasn't told anything about it, until SD7 came over talking about her SF taking her. This is the SF whom she's forced to call "dad", while being forced to call DH by his first name. There has been LOTS of PAS drama over the years (most of it coming from BM). Up to the point that recently, BM is trying to terminate DH's rights with a bogus lawsuit so SF can adopt her.

I don't like it, but can I have it?
SD7 is a very picky and fickle eater. She frequently "likes" something, and then the next time she has it she "doesn't like it". I know this isn't something exclusive to stepkids, but it is frustrating. Yesterday when I got up fix breakfast for SD, the following exchange took place.

Excuse me while I vomit.
Let me start off by saying that I have very few complaints about SD7. She is a very sweet kid, very kind, and easy to like. She cleans up after herself (as much as any 7 year old), asks for permission before doing things, and takes no for an answer very well.

Mother's Day/Father's Day Question
I'm looking for experiences/opinions on how to handle the Mother's Day/Father's Day schedule. My DH's CO is very vague about these two days, while all other holidays have set dates & times for pickup/dropoff. In the past, BM has simply withheld SD from DH for both Mother's Day AND Father's Day (so SD could spend Father's Day with SF, who she's forced to call "dad"). This year, with the new CO and motions of contempt and possible jail time hanging over BM's head, she has (so far) been sticking to the CO. So here's my question:

I'm pretty sure I have whiplash now.
Earlier in the school year, my DH was working out of state for several weeks. My SD7 happened to have Parent-Teacher Conferences during that time, and DH asked me to go in his place. All was fine, I talked to the teacher, got a great report (SD is very smart, sweet, etc...). The whole thing lasted about five minutes.
