Its the little things DH..isn't it

THAT DRIVE YOU INSANE...

 

Bwahahahahhahahaaaaa....DH is really getting a taste of SD. 

Dh has taken to spoiling me a bit..so I had a massage yesterday evening.  I made dinner for DH and SD  and myself before I left.  DH ate his dinner with me and SD wasn't hungry yet.  Ok...cool whatever.  Off I go to the massage...90 minutes of heaven.

Meanwhile back at the house..SD ate her dinner after DH had cleaned up the kitchen, etc.  SD just put her dishes in the sink..not in the dishwasher that is next to the sink..but just in the sink.  DH apparently wandered into the kitchen later and found the dishes and layed into SD about leaving her dishes in the sink...right in front of *gasp* SD's little boyfriend.  Wow...I've been irritated by that for YEARS.

Fast forward to this morning....DH and I are in the kitchen and DH looks in the sink...a glass and a spoon are in the sink.  He looks up and says..."Let me guess..these are SD's"  Yep...you got it DH, certainly not mine..I've mastered the dishwasher.  "DH...god d*mnit..I told her last night to quit doing this. How hard is it to put the dishes in the dishwasher?"  I just shrugged my shoulders and gulped down some coffee.

I heard DH telling SD this morning as...SD put your dishes in the DISHWASHER..not in the sink.  If the dishwasher has clean dishes in it..PUT THEM AWAY and then PUT YOUR DIRTY DISHES IN IT.

I'm still chuckling over this one...its been a thorn in my side from BOTH OF THEM for years.  Only now DH..has to deal with SD and its driving him NUTS.

Her laundry?  Her trash?  Her bedroom?  Her bathroom?  I'm sure he will keep busy.  Lol.

and her room.  I just shut the down and forget about it.   The bathroom is the same...he gets on here when the maids are going to come and clean so she can clean up the clutter.

DH now pays for maids every 2 weeks..since I said I was done being the maid.

Yes, I dealt with kids' rooms by shutting doors and occasionally hiring cleaning help, too.  Life is too short to fight each and every battle.

This is really the best part of disengagment, when you sit back and watch them have all the feelings you had for years over issues they just got to ignore.

and in the fact that DH cannot "check out" anymore with his "games"...oh it gets all kinds of interesting.  He had to figure out how to deal with his SD and the stress from her in constructive ways.

Honestly, this has made me a much more happy person.

This is absolutely fantastic!  If I were you, I would find it hard to avoid skipping and doing little victory dances every time he ripped her a$$!  LOL!
