Yesterday afternoon, my husband and I went to a "celebration of life" party for a friends' mom who recently passed.
the family lives down the street and they've been friends with my husband for 20-some years.
SS26,his girlfriend, the baby and the ex-wife were there already when we got there.

Part of the celebration was to let go of baloons with messages on then. SS26 wrote his message, and "signed" it The Prestons and named himself, his girlfriend his son, his kid, his sister, his bio-mom and his Dad....

neither me nor my biokid were on there. I heard him announce "I'm sending one up for the whole family"

I know that what he did is childish and immature... but really it hurt! I have been in this family for over ten years. I helped this 'kid' learn how to drive a car, I watched him graduate from high school. well, at least now I know, that despite the fact that he STILL lives at home, with his girlfriend and baby, a home that I also own and keep up... that he doesn't think of me as a part of the family... according to him, I am not a Preston.
