selfie obsessed

I have never seen anything like it. sd21 posts at least one selfie a day. and them some of her and dh, some of her and the kid, some of all 3 of them. seriously. EVERY DAY. I post pics sometimes, too. but never selfies, and if I did, it would only be for my profile pic, not for everyone to gush over me every day. and that is what it is. she wants everyone to tell her how beautiful she is. she has always eaten that up. I just have never seen anyone so blatant about it. It used to annoy me. now it's so ridiculous that I just find it funny.

Ugh I can't stand people who post selfies all the time. This girl I used to live next door to is my FB friend and she posts ridiculous selfies, complete with duck lips, ALL.THE.TIME. to the point where I consider deleting her constantly. And she is 30! Ick.

her dh always comments about how beautiful she is, and she always likes his comment. she likes any comment feeding her ego. she has a fb page for her 16 month old and has since birth. she's always signing on as him and commenting on her pictures about how beautiful she is, how lucky he is to have her as a mommy, she's the best mommy in the world, on and on. it's creepy weird to me.

SD 15.5 is constantly posting selfies, duck face, tongues, wannabe gangsta signs (she and her brothers are practically albinos) Yet the publiK skool system says she suffers from low self-esteem and is on ADHD meds and anti-depressants. And of course the BM believes the low self-esteem crap as well. After all, it's easier to blame some "condition" than bad, non-existent psrenting.

I agree with you halfway... I grew up a really awkward ugly duckling. Oddly proportioned, ginger, blonde eyebrows. I had some really low self esteem and sometimes I still do, but every once in a while I feel it helps me to look at the mirror and say, "yes, I am pretty". I grew out of those ugly duckling stages, I ain't no swan though lol. But, as much as I hate seeing the selfies everywhere, I find nothing wrong with today's youth being confident in their looks (whether it's true or not) there are too many kids out there with no self esteem and confidence that go down bad roads because they don't think highly of themselves. It's sad
