Anyone ever have a moment where they feel like they stepped out of their life and into someone else's?

Just got home from work and as soon as I walked in the house skid#1 greeted me with hey mom how was your day at work. Each of the skids has now called me mom, DH is not reacting to this sudden change in skid name calling. And I do mean sudden, when I left this morning they were all calling me by my first name, they have never called me mom. I have the nasty feeling I am getting set up for something and am just waiting for the shoe to drop.

Hopefully they don't pull out the Talky Tina doll or wish you into the cornfield! I'd be worried too!!

LOL, FIL is on speed dial, well auto dial on the phone, say his name and the phone dials him up.

This is just WEIRD. DH and I just went outside to talk and HE asked what was up with them calling me mom. Hello? Like I know I was at work all day! You were home!! I really figured it was something he cooked up with them to soften me up for whatever large ticket item all of them wanted together! Apparently not, we figure best course of action is not to address it, let them bring it to him/me/us.
