Can we "make" SD14 come over?

mamacat_30's picture

So SD14 has decided she doesn't want to come for visitation EOWE anymore. Do we have any legal standing to make her adhere to the court order? SD12 and SS11 still come, but SD12 doesn't like to be without SD14 and I worry that eventually dumbass BM will convince them all the they don't have to come over. When we talked to a police officer about it they said that as long as BM brings the kids to the child exchange then there is no violation of the court order, they said that if she refuses to get out of the car there is nothing they can do. Does this sound right?

At least I'm thinner!

This may seem totally petty and even inappropriate, but what ever crap BM puts us through, I always take solace in the fact that I am thinner and younger than she is. I have more class and know how to dress for my age. I went to college and got a good job, and I am a good Christian woman. The S-Kids tell me I am a better cook than she is and I take pride in my home. I don't lie or manipulate people. Overall I am a better person than she is -- I WIN!

Feeling Helpless and Guilty

I've been with DH for more than 9 years and have known my step kids (ss11, sd12, sd14) since ss11 was in diapers. We only get them every other weekend and a month in the summer, but, I love them with all of my heart, as they were my own. What tears me up inside is that I love them as a mother, I care for them as a mother, I worry for them as a mother, BUT I have no power of a mother. I have no say in how they are raised. DH and I share the same views on parenting and neither one of us is happy with how BM is raising the kids, but we get no input.
