Light on the tunnel

I'm in a good mood today. I wanted people to know there is light in the tunnel, and Steptalk gives it to you.

I have now been a member for 2 years. I have grown so much in that time, simply from the advice I have received here. Simply because it gave me a place to vent- rather than blowing up at Loghead, my DH, or to the skids. It's not all roses and parades, but we move along, lately with only minor rocks to the boat.

And it changes again...

Last night was the last ballgame of the season. Since school started in Septemeber, the skids have had practice three nights a week, and sometimes on weekends for 2-3 hours at a time. Then game season started and on the nights they didn't practice, they had games.

Now they'll be home more. Shit.

Wonder if we can afford for them to run track?

Caught Loghead writing a letter to his lawyer the other day about Loca Grande. he's been talking about getting CS from her after all these years, now that she seems to have decided she wants NOTHING to do with the boys. Gosh, that would be amazing!!!

I can't find it anywhere. I so want to see what he said... I can't imagine he'd mail it off yet. He doesn't have a clue where I keep envelopes or stamps.

Keeping my fingers crossed...

Princess called last night

At 11:20. Does she not realize NORMAL people go to bed, so they can be ready for work the next day?! She actually texted me first, which woke me, but I ignored it, and less than 5 mintues later Loghead's phone rang.

She was on a roll! He didn't even really get a chance to speak. She spilled it all, starting with the most recent piece of news:

1. She got an $80 speeding ticket earlier in the day.
2. She told him she gave Loca Grande "several thousand" dollars from her settlement.
3. She's on academic probabation.

ACK! You can't grow up!!! I'm not ready!

PITA 16 brought home his girlfriend to join us for dinner last night! Well, that was the plan anyway...

they ended up eating in town since the local drive-in just reopened from their "closed" season. I cleared Gibby out of the living room, so they could watch TV int he living room. Loghead skulked around, and kept eavesdropping. We were both admittedly amazed to find out he DOES know how to speak in complete sentences!

I spent the day with Princess on campus Saturday. After being snowed in so many days, I couldn't stand the thought of a three day weekend stuck at home. During the snow days, I had discovered that Gibby thought college was like "Hogwarts," and all the classes where in the same building where you eat and live. I figured a visit to see Princess would give us time to BEGIN to patch things up, and let Gibby see where his sis lives.

What now?!

Loca Grande texted me Friday morning at 6am. Thank goodness I was going back to work, so I was awake. We exchanged a few texts back and forth- she wanted to meet to give loghead some money she owes him. I texted to just bring it to the ball game Saturday. She text back that Lazy Boye told her he didn't want her he didn't want her to come to his "f$%^ing games" any more and that he didn't want to see her. She texted she wouldn't be coming to the game.

CRAP. What now? We know PITA wants nothing to do with her, but what turned the tides for Lazy Boye?

Some of you may remember I joined weight watchers in August with a goal to lose 40 pounds by Christmas. Yea, that didn't happen. School started again, and Gibby and I were always on the go. Even with his weekly kids fitness class, and an increased amount of physical activity, and keeping in my "point" limits each day, I lost only 10 pounds from August to November.
