I just sat here and forced myself to watch the whole thing, even though halfway through I wanted to close out because of how disgusted I was by it. The sad thing is, I can see half the kids in my neighborhood (and maybe one of my own SKIDS) doing this to someone... maybe even someone as innocent as this woman. Bless her heart... some kids should have their vocal chords ripped out.

It was posted earlier but still, what those brats did to that woman is just sickening. But the woman said she will continue to do her job. Someone set up a website, wanting to send her on vacation and was hoping for 5000 dollars but donations have far exceeded that (I saw an update on yahoo this afternoon). She deserves it! Personally, I'd like to give that woman a hug!

I heard on the radio tonight (saw the clip earlier on the news here in Aus) that they have raised over $300,000 - way to go.
It was totally disgusting and I really hope the parents of those kids have the guts to deal with their little bastards.

I watched less than a minute and turned it off...I have a grandma that I love and when I saw that it made me think of her. That makes me want to beat those kids. I really hate how some allow their kids to act anymore.

OMFG!!! Over the last week
OMFG!!! Over the last week I've been involved in a conversation about this with several different people/groups of people. We all agreed we would be mortified and humiliated and want to KILL if these were our children. All involved reiterated strongly that their children wouldn't comfortably sit for a LOOOOOOONG time.
My kids and I talked about it. They were equally mortified! And discussed the things that would happen to the boys had they been there/it been their grandma. Not pretty.
It popped up on the news and XSO and I had a brief conversation about it. Came out that a couple parents were trying to defend their spawn as "kids being kids," "they made a mistake," "they didn't mean it."
I told him where I stood. I thought it was IGNORANT and HORRIBLE that parents were trying to defend these little ASSHOLES in any way. They were monsters, to say the least, and I would've made their lives HELL. XSO actually said, "Well they are just kids." "They're their parents. Of course they're going to defend them."
SAY WHAT??!!
Well, they are just kids. It was wrong what they did, but their parents SHOULD defend them!

DH's adult kids are bullies NOW. He also has stories of the oldest bullying when she as a kid.
I know the parents don't usually give a crap though. I once tried to speak to a mother of some kids who had stolen from my younger son and kicked him. She ignored me entirely.
