I just found out tonight that Bm has been spying on us. You won't believe this one. The best part is that Dh is partially to blame.
Ss is on Xbox live. It is set up so that before ss can have someone as a friend on there, Dh has to enter a code to approve it. Sounds great, right? Well, Evidently, Bm's ex-live in boyfriend was on there one day and requested that Ss be his friend. Ss asked Dh to approve it and he did. No one told me anything about this. Turns out that Bm's ex has been pumping Ss for info or Ss has just been offering it up. As soon as Bm's ex finds something good out, he calls Bm. I know this because either yesterday or today Ss told Bm's ex about a parade Ss is going to be in and Bm was on the phone tonight chewing Ss for not telling her. That's how I found out the whole thing. Bm tipped her hand with that phone call.
She hasn't called here for almost 3 weeks to see how Ss is doing. She hasn't been concerned about his summer school, band or soccer. Then all of the sudden calls to chew him so I knew something was fishy.
I feel like our privacy has been violated!!! Well, tomorrow I'm making Dh un-friend Bm's ex from Ss's Xbox live. Dh says I'm being petty but he has no idea what kind of things Ss's is telling Bm's ex or how often the guy is pumping Ss for info. So, Bm's ex is outta here!!

pretty creepy to me anyways. THere is no longer a relationship with BM. Hell BM barely has a relationship with SS. Why then does a grown man need to or want to keep in touch with a kid that he is NEVER gonna really see again? Especially under the guise of playing GAMES? A bit extreme if you ask me. THEN to have to keep in touch with BM...his ex. Not a situation that I would want to be involved in. I agree...The EX has got to go. ACCESS DENIED!!!

for one thing Ss doesn't use the phone much. He has MAJOR communication problems if you ask me. We have trouble with him not calling us when he's over at Bm's for long periods of time. It's like once he's in the other's world, he blocks out all aspects of the other parent's house. I guess it's some kind of defense mechanism that he started when he was little. It's a little better now but not a whole lot.
Of course at his mom's, he thinks he's going to get in trouble if he asks to call us. That's not the case here.
I think that he was using the Xbox as a way to indirectly feed his mom info without having to use the phone to call her. Plus, we wouldn't find out what he's telling her. Which there shouldn't be anything that he needs to tell her that was bad unless he was lying about something to get his way and with his track record in that dept., you never know.

Ok...sorry to your hubby, I know HE thinks it's a lot of fun and of course I'm grateful he does or I would never have met you or all the amazing friends I have on this site.
But I do think that the down side of all these gadgets is the ability of them to be used this way. I think it just sucks that BM is doing this to you guys, or this ex is helping her do it (is he trying to get back with her or something?)
Anyway, hang in there, and hopefully this will be the last of her attempts.
Though given the past history and how often it repeats itself? I'm fearful on your behalf it is not.
XBox spying update
Well, even though Dh thinks it isn't that big of a deal, I made him get on Ss's Xbox and de-friend Bm's ex. No matter what his intent was or is, there's no reason for Ss to have him as a friend on there.
Everyone is(Dh, my mom, etc.) all concerned about what Bm's ex is going to think. Um.....I don't really care what he thinks. Ss was told that he isn't to have adult friends on his Xbox. Done.
Sita: Yes, I think the ex would just at the change to get Bm back. YUCK! Remember, he's not just the ex but they have a 5 yr old daughter together. Bm just thinks that she can do better than this ex....UH!
Bm is just a piece of work. The reason she called Ss was because she found out that he was going to be in a 4th of July parade and wanted to know why Ss didn't call her. He told her that he told her ex on the Xbox and KNEW that he would tell Bm. So you know what Bm told Ss? She told him that she would go to watch him in his parade but that she would see Ss but he wouldn't see her. Sure enough, no one saw her. Not us or Ss. Now, do you guys really think she showed up? I seriously doubt it. She just wants Ss to think she was there but she doesn't want to put herself out to actually be there. How lame is that? Why make such a big deal out of Ss not telling her. He's bound to catch on to her soon......I hope!
